How to find and book a stay on Bookd, on the website or from ChatGPT and Claude, and who to contact when something goes wrong.

Search and request a booking on bookd.direct

Go to Find a stay and enter where you're going, your dates and the number of guests.
Open a place marked "Book direct" to see its rooms, prices, house rules and cancellation policy.
Choose a room, add your name and email (phone and a note to the property are optional) and send your booking request.
The property confirms or declines your request. You get an email either way, and a link to check the status.

A booking is a request until the property accepts it. If the property doesn't answer in time, the request expires and nothing is booked.

Book from ChatGPT or Claude

Add Bookd to your AI assistant as a custom connector using this address: https://mcp.bookd.direct/mcp. No account or sign-in is needed.

Claude: open Customize, then Connectors, choose + Add, then Add custom connector. Name it Bookd, paste the address, choose Continue, set Authentication to "No sign in" and choose Add.
ChatGPT: on ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins, choose the plus button, choose Add custom MCP server and paste the address. Custom MCP servers depend on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings.

Then ask in your own words, for example "Find a B&B in Doolin for 2 adults, 6 to 8 November, under €150 a night." Your assistant shows matching places and can send a booking request to the property for you. Bookd's connector tells assistants to get your OK, your name and your email before sending anything. After you book: payment, changes, cancellations and refunds

Your stay is a contract directly between you and the property. Bookd is the booking platform: it is not a party to your stay and never holds your money.

Payment: you pay the property directly. Where a property asks for a card deposit, it is charged on the property's own Stripe account, with the property as merchant of record.
Contacting the property: your confirmation email from Bookd shows the property's name and contact details, and replying to it goes to the property.
Cancelling: use the cancellation link in your confirmation email, or ask your assistant to cancel the booking. The property's own cancellation policy applies; it is shown before you send your request.
Questions about payment, changes, refunds or the stay itself (the room, check-in, damage, a cancellation by the property) go to the property, which decides them under its own policies.

Partner hotels (Trip.com and Stay22)

Where Bookd has no property of its own for your search, the website and your assistant may show partner hotel results from Trip.com and Stay22. These are not Bookd properties: you book and pay on Trip.com or on the booking site the Stay22 results send you to, under that site's own terms, and that site's customer service handles your booking. Bookd may earn a commission from these bookings.

Privacy and your data

Bookd shares the details of your booking request with the property you book, so it can confirm and look after your stay. When you use the AI connector, your assistant sends Bookd only what each request needs, never your chat history. Read the full privacy notice, including how the AI connector uses data. Report a problem with a listing or the AI connector

Email hello@bookd.direct with:

for a listing: the link to the property page (bookd.direct/p/…) and what's wrong, for example wrong details, prices or photos, or a place you think is not genuine;
for the AI connector: which assistant you used (ChatGPT, Claude or another), roughly when, what you asked and what went wrong, and your booking reference if you have one.
